Steel and metal products, engineered for the floor they have to carry.
Peerless Metal supplies STEELOCK™ hooked-end steel fibre and floor armoured joints to contractors, flooring specialists and precast producers across Saudi Arabia and the Gulf — backed by people who have specified and placed these products on site since 2004.
Years in construction
Working with steel fibre concrete
STEELOCK hooked-end schematic profile. The class code counts the total bends across the fibre — this is 6B.
Built by people who have poured the floor, not just sold the product.
Peerless was founded by owners with more than thirty years of experience in construction, who have worked with steel fibre concrete reinforcement since 2004 — when fibre was still an unfamiliar line on most specifications in the region.
That experience is the reason the company exists. We saw the same problems repeat: reinforcement specified without regard for how it would be placed, floors designed without thinking about the joints, and products sold on price with no documentation behind them.
Peerless Metal was established to take construction steel products to a new level: a focused range, specified honestly, documented for engineering approval, and backed by people who know the site. We begin with concrete reinforcement and floor jointing, and will grow into more steel and metal construction products.
The company is built on three pillars, and we are willing to be measured against all three.
QUALITY
Products manufactured to a written Peerless specification and governed by the relevant European standard. Conformity documentation — declaration of performance, test certificates, test reports — supplied with the consignment, not promised later.
FEASIBILITY
Reinforcement only works if it can be built and afforded. We look at slab design, joint layout and programme together, and we will tell you when a lighter specification does the same job.
CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
Technical support before the order and after it — performance data for your designer, submittal packages for approval, and delivery scheduled against your pour programme.
Two product lines, aimed at the same thing: a floor that stays flat and uncracked.
Steel fibre replaces or supplements conventional reinforcement inside the slab. Armoured joints protect the edges where slabs meet. Between them they cover both ways an industrial floor goes wrong — cracking across the panel, and breaking up at the joint.
STEELOCK™ steel fibre
Cold-drawn steel wire fibre with a mechanically anchored hooked end, glued into clips so it disperses evenly through the mix without balling.
Every STEELOCK fibre is defined by two choices: the anchorage class, set by the number of bends formed in the fibre, and the tensile grade, set by the strength of the wire. The class decides how firmly the fibre grips the concrete; the grade decides how much load it carries before the wire breaks.
Anchorage classes
The class number is the total count of bends formed in the fibre, counting both ends together.

STEELOCK anchorage classes. Overall length 60 mm · schematic.
| Class | Bends total | Per end | Form | Typical application |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| STEELOCK 0B | 0 | 0 | Straight | Micro-reinforcement, screeds, precast elements |
| STEELOCK 2B | 2 | 1 | Hooked end | Light crack control, non-structural slabs |
| STEELOCK 4B | 4 | 2 | Hooked end | Ground-bearing slabs, yards, general reinforcement |
| STEELOCK 6BACTIVE | 6 | 3 | Hooked end | Jointless floors, heavy-duty slabs |
| STEELOCK 8B | 8 | 4 | Hooked end | Rafts, pile-supported slabs, structural design |
Tensile grades
Three grades of wire. The grade sets how much load a fibre can carry before the wire breaks; the class sets how firmly the fibre is anchored in the concrete.

STEELOCK tensile grades and their tolerance windows under EN 14889-1.
| Grade | Wire tensile strength | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| G-1150 | 1,150 MPa | Crack control in ground-supported slabs and normal-strength concrete |
| G-1800 | 1,800 MPa | Industrial floors, pavements and general structural concrete |
| G-2300 | 2,300 MPa | High-strength concrete and the higher classes loaded to their limit |
How it is designated
Every STEELOCK fibre carries a designation that fixes class, aspect ratio, length, form of supply and wire grade — so there is no ambiguity between quotation, delivery note and data sheet.

Floor armoured joints
Leave-in-place steel joint systems for industrial concrete floors. They do three jobs at once: form the day joint during the pour, protect the slab arris from impact once the building is in use, and transfer load across the joint so the two slabs move together.

Armoured joint in section and plan. Final profile, plate thickness and dowel type are confirmed against the floor design.
PROFILES
| Profile | Section heights | Slab depth | Joint type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Straight | 90 – 245 mm | 100 – 300 mm | Construction / day joint |
| Sinus | 100 – 270 mm | 120 – 310 mm | Free-movement joint |
COMMON SELECTIONS
| Joint height | Slab depth | Profile available |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm | approx. 170 – 195 mm | Straight and Sinus |
| 200 mm | approx. 215 – 240 mm | Sinus |
| 250 mm | approx. 260 – 290 mm | Sinus |

WHAT IT SOLVES
Arris spalling
Unprotected joint edges break down under hard-wheeled forklift traffic; once they go, the repair is disruptive and permanent-looking.
Random cracking
A formed joint gives the slab a planned place to move instead of cracking where it chooses.
Slab stepping
Dowels keep adjacent panels level under load, so wheels do not hammer the edge.
Slow pours
The system acts as permanent formwork, so the day joint is set out once and concreting runs to the pour sequence.

A Peerless product today, a Peerless plant tomorrow.
We are often asked who makes STEELOCK. The honest answer has two parts, and both matter if you are about to specify it.
Approved manufacturing units, producing under Peerless authorisation to the Peerless specification and acceptance criteria.
Peerless plant, Eastern Province, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Local content maximised as the plant comes on line.

Where Peerless products are made. The specification does not change between the two stages — the plant changes where it is executed, not what is required.
WHAT PEERLESS OWNS
- —The product specification — every dimension, tolerance and material requirement
- —The hook geometry that defines each anchorage class
- —The quality requirements and the acceptance criteria a lot must meet
- —Inspection and release of every consignment against those criteria
WHAT THAT MEANS FOR YOU
- —You buy to a Peerless specification, not to whatever a factory happened to run that week
- —Conformity documentation is issued against the delivered lot, every time
- —The specification carries over unchanged when production moves to the Eastern Province plant
- —Supply continuity is not tied to a single production line
Tell us about the floor.
Send the slab design, the traffic it has to take, or simply the quantity you need. We will come back with a specification and a price, together with the performance data your structural designer needs — and say so plainly if a lighter product would do the job.
